Dunwoody, GA (WXIA) - It's the time of year when you spend hours outside, trying to meticulously maintain your lawn. You could hire a crew to do your yard work, or you could hire a flock!
Brian Cash with Ewe-Niversally Green says he is Atlanta's only sheepherder. His flock attacks the nastiest stuff in a backyard, they love kudzu. "As they travel, they'll loosen up the soil and make it a little bettor for planting," explained Cash.
Kevin brown heard about sheep for hire in California. They're big there for fore control. But as soon as he found out Brian and the sheep were here, he said 'thanks for mutton,' and invited them to Dunwoody. Kevin Brown talked about the process, "They're taking care of the poison ivy first. That means we don't have to tramp through it. All we have to do is provide water."
Border collies and an electric fence keep the sheep where you want them to eat. You avoid poison sprays, and they throw in fertilizer for free. "I am the only person in the city of Atlanta that does this, I'm the only one that has a mobile flock of sheep that gets rented out for this use," said Cash.
