SELMA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have charged a teen in the death of a man who was reported missing earlier this week in Selma. The Selma Times Journal reports 19-year-old Ronald Mitchell is charged with murder in the death of 22-year-old Micah Dewayne Johnson, who was last seen Monday morning.

MONTGMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley joined other state and local leaders yesterday in announcing new jobs coming to Greenville. Ozark Materials LLC is expanding and will create about 40 new jobs. The company will work on striping projects in Greenville.

WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) - The former assistant police chief of Tallassee faces sentencing July 8 on several felony convictions. Attorney General Luther Strange says Amy Davis was convicted Thursday. She was found guilty of 10 ethics counts of using her position for personal gain and 19 counts of unlawfully obtaining criminal offender record information on multiple people.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama signed legislation yesterday to posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal to Addie Mae Collins, Carole Robertson, Cynthia Wesley and Denise McNair. The four girls were killed in a 1963 Alabama church bombing during the civil rights movement. The medal is the highest honor Congress gives to civilians.
