SECOND TRANSGENDER RECRUIT SIGNS UP TO JOIN U.S. MILITARY
(CNN) – A second transgender recruit has joined the military since president Trump’s ban was lifted.
The Pentagon did not identify the person but a U.S. Defense official says the recruit has already signed a contract to joined the Armed Forces.
Last year president Trump announced on twitter that transgender individuals could not serve in any capacity in the military.
But a federal judge ruled the Pentagon could not ban transgender recruits from service.
The first openly transgender person joined the military last month.
