First Weekend of March Coming in Like a Lamb

After some showers and windy conditions, tonight looks much cooler. We’ll bottom out below 50 degrees for the first time since February 9th tonight with decreasing clouds and will likely see lows in the 30s and 40s for the next week or so. The next chance of rainfall comes with a quick-moving system early next week. We’ll see little in the way of deep moisture or instability out ahead of the system, so thunderstorms aren’t expected, much less anything severe. After the early week system, much cooler weather invades the area. Some of the outlying rural areas may see a light freeze both next Thursday and Friday mornings with lows in the 30-37 degree range areawide.

Enjoy your Friday and prepare for a beautiful weekend!
