TRUMP TO NOMINATE TAX ATTORNEY CHARLES RETTIG TO HEAD IRS

(CNN) – President Trump plans to nominate a California tax attorney to head the IRS.

Charles P. Rettig has been a tax attorney for over 35-years with Beverly Hills-based Hochman, Salkin, Rettig, Toscher & Perez.

If confirmed by the Senate; Rettig would join the agency as it struggles with limited resources and a possible restructuring by Congress.

According to the taxpayer advocate service; the IRS budget has been cut by 20 percent since 2010.
