Dunkin’ Donuts Replacing Foam Cups by 2020
DUNKIN DONUTS SAYS IT WILL PHASE OUT USE OF POLYSTYRENE CUPS IN US STORES BY 2020
(CNN) – Dunkin Donuts will stop using polystyrene cups in its U.S. stores by 2020.
The coffee retailer announced Wednesday it will start using double-walled paper cups beginning this spring.
Dunkin says the new cups will hold heat just as well as the old cups, so you still won’t need a sleeve to protect your hands.
The change brings U.S. stores in line with dunkin’s international locations, which are already using paper cups.
New York and California will get the new cups first.
Then they’ll be rolled out nationwide.
