Mattis Seeking Cellphone Ban at Pentagon

PENTAGON CONSIDERS PERSONAL CELL PHONE BAN

(CNN) – Personal cell phones could soon become persona non grata at the Pentagon.

Three U.S. Defense officials familiar with the matter says Defense Secretary James Matt is is considering such a ban, which would prevent U.S. military and civilian personnel from bringing their personal cell phones into the Pentagon.

The officials say the proposal is under review and no final decision has been made.

A similar ban took effect at the White House earlier this month.

Staffers can no long bring personal cell phones into the West Wing.
