Chris Christie Joining ABC News as Contributor
CHRIS CHRISTIE DEBUTS HIS NEW ROLE AS ABC NEWS COMMENTATOR WITH A PREVIEW OF TUESDAY'S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
(CNN) – There’s a new political face on ABC news.
Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie is the television network’s newest contributor.
He started the job Tuesday morning on “Good Morning America” with a preview of president Trump’s State of the Union Address.
The often feisty Christie is a long-time friend of Trump’s and is close to players inside the White House.
Sources say ABC views that as a big plus as it gears up to cover mid-term elections.
Christie served as governor of New Jersey for eight years and left office just two weeks ago.
He was also an early contender in the GOP nomination in the 2016 presidential race.
If you missed Christie’s preview on Tuesday morning, don’t worry. He will return for commentary after Trump delivers the speech.
