Mistaken Manafort Filing’s Notes Show Legal Strategy?

NOTES IN PAUL MANAFORT FILING COULD REVEAL PARTIAL LEGAL STRATEGY

(CNN) – Notes about the criminal case of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort appeared to have been mistakenly released to the public.

Months ago, Manafort was indicted on several charges, including money laundering and filing false statements.

Special counsel Robert Mueller who is leading the ongoing Russia probe filed the charges.

The notes about Manafort’s case alleges an exchange of information between Mueller’s office and the Associated Press.

Those allegations could be part of a legal strategy that Manafort’s attorneys plan to use to attack Mueller in the case.

The notes were attached to a court filing asking a judge overseeing manafort’s criminal case to consider changing deadlines.

Manafort is also suing Mueller Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and the Justice Department.

The lawsuit claims they overreached in their investigation into the trump campaign’s possible ties to Russia.

Manafort’s spokesperson and lead attorney have not yet commented.
