Rain, Sleet, Snow….Oh My!

Black Ice Potential Saturday Morning

Rain, heavy at times, will continue through Friday.  Said rain will mix with, and perhaps change to wet snow and sleet, with a small slushy accumulation possible on non-paved surfaces north and west of I-85 Friday morning.

The rain/snow/sleet line will slowly shift toward the southeast later Friday and Friday night, before ending during the pre-dawn hours of Saturday.   Once again, a small slushy accumulation is possible on non-paved surfaces.   However, the biggest concern is the potential for black ice on bridges and overpasses first thing Saturday morning.

Sunshine returns for the weekend.   Although somewhat milder weather returns for a cameo early next week, temperatures will remain below average.
