Roy Moore Accused of Sex Encounter with 14-year-old

WASHINGTON POST: FOUR WOMEN SAY ROY MOORE PURSUED RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM WHEN THEY WERE TEENS & HE WAS IN HIS THIRTIES

(CNN) – Four women say Alabama Republican Senate Candidate Roy Moore pursued inappropriate relationships with them when they were teens and he was in his 30’s.

None of the women say Moore forced them into sexual contact with him, but one accuser says she was just 14-years-old when Moore, who was 32, initiated a sexual encounter.

The Washington Post reported the allegations today.

The relationships reportedly happened in the late 70’s and early 80’s, when Moore was an assistant District Attorney for Etowah County in northern Alabama.

The report was based on interviews with more than 30-people who all knew Moore at the time.

In a statement, Moore’s Campaign denied the allegations, calling them “a baseless political attack “and pointing out that the Washington Post has endorsed Moore’s opponent, Democrat Doug Jones.

But several Senate Republicans, including majority leader Mitch McConnell and Arizona Senator John McCain say that Moore must step aside if there is any truth to the allegations.
