In Your Health Minute,  cash might be more powerful than nicotine.

Researchers from Boston Medical Center developed a personalized intervention to help smokers kick the habit.

Along with counseling and nicotine replacement, they provided a financial reward for quitting.

Nearly 10 percent had quit smoking after six months compared to just one percent of those who were not getting money.
