Study says Doctors could Prevent Some Peanut Allergies

Doctors not advising parents on how to possibly cure peanut allergies in children.

In Your Health Minute, new guidelines suggest giving infants traces of peanuts to help prevent an allergy but many doctors don’t follow them.

Surveys from 80 pediatricians show only 11 percent regularly discuss the topic with parents.

And…nearly half do not refer high risk children, like those with an egg allergy or severe eczema for peanut allergy testing.
