Brooke Kirchhofer is a Sports Anchor/Reporter for WLTZ and the newest on-camera personality at the station, joining the team in July 2017.
She comes from Humble, Texas, about 30 minutes north of Houston. She was born in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and moved to Texas when she was four years old.
Brooke recently graduated from Lamar University with a degree in Broadcasting, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA along the way. During her time at Lamar, she played women’s soccer all four years and also worked for the Big Red Sports Network on campus. Through the network, Brooke hosted home football games, produced/anchored her own show called “Cardinal Countdown,” was a color commentator on ESPN3 for women’s basketball, and covered each and every team at Lamar. She was also a member of the Lamar University Television production staff where she served as the Web Sports Anchor as well as the main Sports Anchor/Sports Producer her senior year. It was through those channels where she found her love for the business.
She interned in Major League Baseball with the Houston Astros the summer before her senior year, gaining knowledge, experience, and advice from some of the best in the sports business.
Now, Brooke brings her love for covering all sports to the Chattahoochee Valley and the Plains and is excited to cover the Southeastern Conference and high school sports in the area.
She loves storytelling and wants to know about what’s happening around the area! Reach out to Brooke at email@example.com.
