Don’t Mess With Those Yellow Jackets

GEORGIA COMMUNITY GETS RID OF ITS YELLOW JACKET PROBLEMS

Residents in the Callaway Lakes Subdivision in Albany, Georgia can not walk around their neighborhood without having to worry about getting stund by yellow jackets.

Dale Richter , of The Buzz Fuzz , removed a large yellow jacket nest off the corner of Martindale Drive and Wiregrass Way.

The nest became so large that last week Lee county officials put up red caution tape to warn the public.

Richter says the nest contained around 5 to 10 thousand active yellow jackets posing a threat to nearby neighbors.

He adds “If a person, or dog, animal, or anyone on a golf cart would have stopped here while they were really active, they could have gotten a hold of them.”

Richter says this is prime season for yellow jackets, which are extremely aggressive.
