Severe Weather Outbreak Likely Thursday Night In The Central and Southern Plains

THE RARE "HIGH RISK" THREAT ISSUED FROM THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER

A severe weather outbreak is likely Thursday night in the central and southern Plains as the clash of two different airmasses takes place.

The Storm Prediction Center has forecasted a rare “high risk” for severe weather across portions of Oklahoma and Kansas.

Severe storms are expected to produce strong tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds.

The event should wind down overnight into early Friday morning.

This storm system isn’t expected to bring severe weather to our area, but it will bring an increased chance for some rainfall beginning Sunday.
