Brookstone Advances to GHSA A-Private Girls Championship Match
COUGARS WILL PLAY WESLEYAN FOR STATE TITLE
The Brookstone girls tennis team will play for a State Championship.
The Lady Cougars beat St. Francis Tuesday morning in the GHSA A-Private Semifinals by a score of 3-0. The other two matches weren’t completed.
#1 singles: Gracie Hemmings beat Mia Pittman, 6-1, 6-1.
#2 singles: Sammi Rice beat Anna Hart 6-0, 6-2.
#3 singles: Abbie Dillon was leading Kacie McGrady 6-0, 3-2.
#1 doubles: Lillie Patton and Lillie Norred were leading Mayse Morgan and Rachel Marsh 6-2, 5-1.
#2 doubles: Abigail Pitts and Anya Polomis beat Caroline Plyler and Grace Rothberg 6-0, 6-0.
Brookstone won the 2016 State Championship and will try to repeat this Saturday when they play Wesleyan in Clayton County.
