Legislator Releases Proclamation on Rebekah Mason
ALABAMA STATE LAWMAKER UNLEASHES WRATH ON EX-GOVERNOR'S ALLEGED MISTRESS
Montgomery, AL (WSFA) – An Alabama state lawmaker has released a proclamation critical of disgraced former governor Robert Bentley’s alleged mistress.
Democrat Johnny Mack Morrow unveiled the proclamation on Wednesday.
He said while Bentley faced the consequences of his actions by resigning his office, Rebekah Mason has yet to be punished.
He also accused Mason of assaulting the sanctity of marriage following Bentley’s divorce of his wife of 50 years.
Johnny Mack Morrow explained, “Rebekah Mason and her husband Jon Mason set out to scam an old vulnerable man and they have succeeded.”
Rebekah Mason has not commented on Morrow’s proclamation.
The Alabama Ethics Commission said last week it found no probable cause to indicate Mason violated state ethics laws.
