Uber’s president quits after six months

UBER PRESIDENT QUITS AFTER SIX MONTHS ON THE JOB

(CNN) – Uber’s president is leaving the company after six months on the job.

The ride-sharing service confirmed Sunday that Jeff Jones is quitting.

He was Uber’s second-in-command after CEO Travis Kalanick.

In a letter to employees, he said Jones decided to leave after Uber announced it would hire a chief operating officer.

Several other executives have left in recent weeks, as Uber was hit by a string of controversies.

The latest one was a New York Times report that Uber developed a tool to deceive authorities in cities that banned or limited Uber’s operations.
