Man Out on Bond for Shooting Death of AU Football Player, Arrested Again

The man accused of killing an Auburn Football player has been arrested again, but for separate charges.

On Sunday, the Dadeville Police Department arrested 24-year-old  Markale Deandre Hart, from Camp Hill, AL, whose out on bond for the shooting death of 18-year-old Auburn football player Jakell Mitchell.

In October of 2015, Hart was indicted on that murder charge.

Hart was charged with Certain Persons Forbidden (Violent Felon) to Possess Pistol, Receiving Stolen Property 4th Degree, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop in which Hart was arrested for DUI and subsequently found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol that was reported stolen from a burglary in another jurisdiction.

The Dadeville Police Department Investigations Division says they are aware that Hart is on bond in Auburn for Murder charges and Auburn Police have been notified of the arrest.

They will cooperate with Auburn Police regarding the arrest of Hart and his pending bond on their charges.
