New England Assistant to Interview for Alabama O.C Job

Saban continues search to fill role vacated by Steve Sarkisian

New England Patriots assistant Brian Daboll is expected to interview for the vacant Alabama Offensive Coordinator position this week, as first reported by Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman.

Daboll served as a graduate assistant under Saban when he was at Michigan State before eventually landing coordinator jobs with three different NFL teams.

Sarkisian’s departure marked the third assistant Alabama has lost since December after Lane Kiffin left for Florida Atlantic, Billy Napier took a coordinator position at Arizona State, and Mario Cristobol chose to join Willie Taggart’s staff at Oregon.

Saban has given no timetable for when a hire may be finalized.
