Columbus State basketball teams sweep Armstrong State at home

The Columbus State University men’s and women’s basketball teams swept Armstrong State on Monday night.

The women rebounded from their first loss of the season and beat the Pirates, 79-60. They were led by Alexis Carter with a team-high 25 points.

The men also won, 88-82 to improve to 10-2 on the season. Jacori Payne led the Cougars with a game-high 25 points.

Both teams will be back in action on Wednesday, January 11th when they take on Young Harris. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
