Ricki Vann – Anchor & Reporter
Ricki joined the WLTZ News team June 2016. She anchors WLTZ First News Today and WLTZ First News Midday. At WLTZ, when she is not anchoring, she is out reporting the news that puts you first.
She started her journalism career at WEAR ABC 3 in Pensacola, Florida. She was an editor first, then after about four months, she was given an opportunity to be their weekday morning reporter. She worked in that position for two years. “By 4:30am we were out in the field, somewhere in Northwest Florida. You could guarantee, no matter the weather, we would be live every 30 minutes with a report. I loved working the morning show. Morning TV is the best! I now look forward to seeing you all first thing in the morning,” said Ricki. Before leaving Channel Three, Ricki filled in on the stations weather team and on their sister station, WFGX. There she did sideline reporting for a high school football show called, “Friday Night Rivals.”
She was born and raised in Sebring, Florida. Her parents are both Gators, Scott and Diana. To no surprise, she is a Gator too. She got her bachelors in Telecommunications, News and a concentration in Sport Management.
She is married to an amazing, God-fearing man who went to Auburn University. They have one adorable dog named Remi. Ricki rescued her on an assignment at an animal shelter in Pensacola. Ricki said, “She is my girl! We walk most days after a work day at WLTZ… Love my little family!”
