Auburn High’s Garrison Brooks signs with Mississippi State

Auburn High basketball star, Garrison Brooks, had it narrowed down to five schools: Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, and the University of North Carolina.

It was a difficult decision, but Brooks made it Wednesday morning, choosing to play basketball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He signed his national letter of content in front of family and friends.

As a junior on the Auburn basketball team, he averaged more than 15 points and 11 rebounds a game. He feels like Starkville is the best place for him to take his talents.

“I really enjoy what I do and I think that school, Mississippi State, it’s the best option I have," Brooks said. "I think I can go in there and play a lot of minutes with them with a lot of hard work. It’s not gonna be easy. So I think it’ll turn out for the best."

Brooks compiled a total of 22 offers.

His father is an assistant coach for the Bulldogs. He also played there in college.
