CSU women’s soccer team secures top seed heading into Peach Belt Tournament
The regular season is over for the Columbus State women’s soccer team and now it’s time to start thinking about the postseason.
For the lady Cougars, the quest for a national title begins this Wednesday, November 2nd. After finishing the regular season with a shutout win on Saturday, they’ve secured the top seed in the Peach Belt Conference tournament.
It’s the third year in a row the Cougars will be the number one seed as they look for their third straight title and momentum heading into the NCAA Tournament.
"A long time ago, you’d go into this Tournament and you may have a pretty soft first round game because things weren’t really that scary but now all eight teams are good," coach Jay Entlich said. "So they are getting us ready or whoever ready for the NCAA Tournament."
The Cougars will host 8th seed Montevallo on Wednesday at 3pm. A win will advance them to the Peach Belt semifinals on November 4th in Evans, Georgia.
