CSU men’s golf finishes in 6th at Cougar Invitational

The 17th ranked Columbus State University men’s golf team finished sixth at the Cougar Invitational after turning in a final round of 295. The Cougars were within striking distance early in the day but started to fall behind after hitting a rough patch on the back nine.

North Alabama took first in the tournament after finishing seven under, four shots ahead of second place Lander.

CSU Freshman Philipp Matlari and sophomore Duncan van der Vyver both finished with a final round 73.

The team will be in action next Monday October 3rd in the University of North Georgia Fall Invitational at Achasta Golf Club.
