NAACP hosts state conference in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WLTZ) — The National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) leaders from across Georgia kicked off the NAACP Georgia State Conference second quarter meeting in Columbus on Friday.

Columbus is the host city for the 2-day event.

The second session focuses on criminal justice and voter empowerment.

The first quarterly meeting of 2016 was held in Georgia.
