22 dead dogs dumped

Cherry Valley, OH (WKYC) Twenty-two dead dogs were found left in a ditch in Cherry Valley, Ohio Monday afternoon.

A spokesperson from the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League said the dogs were found in a ditch at the end of a dead-end road, with no homes nearby.

The property owner alerted authorities to the dogs.

The dogs ranged anywhere from 10 week old puppies to six years old dogs, all from a similar breed.

"I was crying that’s horrific," said Cindy Bundy, who along with her neighbors found the dogs near their property Monday. "I got two grandchildren that play through here and for somebody to take 22 dogs, and pregnant ones, it’s beyond horrific. If my grandchildren found them, it would not have been right at all."
