Opelika cops taking it to the top for Special Olympics

OPELIKA, AL – The Opelika Police Department is teaming up with the Lee County Special Olympics to bring the community together for an event called "Cops on Top".
On Friday, April 15th, from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. CT officers will be on the roof and also on the ground raising both donations and awareness for the Lee County Special Olympics at the Kroger in Tiger Town.
They’ll also be selling shirts to help support the law enforcement torch run.
Throughout the day police will be joined by Opelika High School football players, Olympic athletes, and Special Olympic athletes.
