Baker fights discrimination with sweet treats

Jackson, MS (WLBT) A Jackson, Mississippi baker is getting international attention for taking a stand against his state’s new religious freedom law.

"It allows for discrimination and I don’t think that should be allowed," says Campbell’s Bakery owner Mitchell Moore.

His revolt was in the form of words on Facebook, a personal revolution heard around the world.

"We started receiving letters and emails and phone calls, hundreds and hundreds of messages of support from people saying finally someone who understands that Christianity isn’t what we are against, Christianity is what we are for," Moore says.

Moore’s battle cry has international journalists calling and people from around the world wanting to support the bakery that’s taking a stand.

He decided to take the outpouring of donations and turn it around for good. He is using the money to bake goods for those in need.

The first place he delivered his goods was the Grace House, a haven for homeless men and women living with HIV/AIDS.
