Copy-Toddler missing after father was a no-show at drop-off
DORAVILLE, Ga. (AP) – Police are searching for an 18-month-old boy after his father was a no-show for custodial drop-off more than a week ago.
Doraville Police Department officer Gene Callaway tells multiple news outlets Saturday that Willis Johnson is with his 31-year-old father Carter Williams Johnson and could be in “extreme danger.” Police say the toddler has been with his father since April 1, when his mother handed him over at a custody exchange point in the police parking lot.
Callaway says the father failed to return the boy on April 3. Callaway says there was an alleged physical altercation that left the mother of the child “pretty damaged.”
An amber alert was issued Friday.
