Winds fuel Oklahoma fires

Logan County, OK (KFOR) Firefighters are working to contain multiple wildfires across Oklahoma.

Oklahoma Forestry Services has dispatched multiple aircraft two single air tankers, two CL-415 and two Oklahoma Air National Guard helicopters to assist in combating the fires.

The agency also is working with city fire departments and task forces to fight wildfires across the state. The agency reports many structures have also been lost during the fires.

Officials said the Logan County fire is mostly contained. Around 350 were acres affected. There were no injuries and only one abandoned building was lost to the flames.

Luther Fire Chief Jason Miller said his department worked with several crews that fought the fire head on.

"Logan County did a great job calling out some additional resources," he said. "It’s very difficult for our crews to get in and out of these places."
