Probe of Amtrak crash continues

Philadelphia, PA (NBC News) Two Amtrak workers were killed Sunday morning when a train slammed into the backhoe they were using on the tracks just south of Philadelphia.

Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board remain on site, working to determine how and why the tractor ended up in the train’s path.

Thirty were taken to area hospitals, including the engineer. None of their injuries are considered life-threatening.
