Colorado blizzard strands drivers

Near watkins, CO (KUSA) Blizzard conditions hit much of Colorado Wednesday, with wind speeds up to 50 miles per hour and snow drifts piled several feet high.

White-out conditions made traveling across the Denver area and the state’s eastern plains a nightmare.

Scores of accidents and stranded vehicles could be seen along Interstate 70.

Heavy snow also downed trees and knocked out power to more than 100,000 people.
