Obama welcomes Trudeau

(NBC) With a patriotic band playing and marching on the White House Lawn, President Obama welcomed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on his first official visit.
President Obama denied blame for the rise of Donald Trump. He focused more on border issues, specifically with Canada. President Obama and Prime Minister Trudeau promised a more open United States and Canadian border.

"Allies, partners, and friends" said Prime Minister Trudeau

While ties with Mexico are strained by Republican Donald Trump, warning that criminals are coming from the south and his continued call for a wall to be built between the two countries.

"We’re going to have a very, very big and powerful wall." Told Donald Trump to a cheering crowd at a recent rally at Fayetteville, North Carolina.

President Obama said the Republican turmoil began in 2009.

"The Republican crackup thats been taking place" stated president Obama at today’s joint press conference.

Obama said Republicans angrily opposed anything that he proposed.

Donald Trump led the birther movement charging Mr. Obama was not American.

All that is not my fault, said the President.

"All those efforts of a course of time, creating an environment where somebody like a Donald Trump can thrive. He’s just doing more of what’s been done for the last seven and a half years." said President Obama

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau said, for now, he will not pick a fight with the GOP front runner, a sign that America’s closest ally is at least imagining a President Donald Trump in the White House.
