Deadly shooting at Kansas plant

(NBCNC) The search for answers continues after a man killed three coworkers and injured 14 others in a Kansas shooting. The governor of that state is calling the officer who shot and killed the gunman, a "hero."

Govnernor Sam Brownback says the police chief in the town of Hesston went into the equipment factory alone without waiting for backup. He shot and killed Cedric Ford and likely saved lives in the process.

As investigators try to figure out why a worker at the lawn equipment factory opened fire, they’re also learning more about how the attack unfolded.

"He didn’t display anything that was outrageous. He was just upset that he was getting this order." explains Sheriff T. Walkton of Harvey County, Kansas.
