Corvette museum opens cave-in exhibit

Bowling Gree, KY (WAVE) A new exhibit chronicling the cave-in at the National Corvette Museum has opened.

On February 12, 2014 a massive sinkhole caused the collapse of the floor in the Skydome and enveloped eight prized Corvettes. The collapse was caught on security footage and has been viewed more than 8 million times.

The Corvettes were eventually recovered – two have been restored – and the sinkhole was filled. Due to the popularity of the story the museum worked with Creative Arts Unlimited to develop an exhibit.
