Assets from Hernandez home frozen
(CNN) – A judge has frozen assets from Aaron Hernandez’s home pending the outcome of his double-murder trial and a civil lawsuit against the former NFL star.
This ruling is a partial victory for the families of two men allegedly gunned down by Hernandez.
It freezes five million dollars in assets and preserves their right to possibly collect money in the future.
However, this ruling keeps them from automatically claiming the estimated 3.3 million Hernandez claims the New England Patriots owe him; should the team pay him.
