It’s still winter

Greensboro, NC (NBC News) – Winter isn't willing to ease it's grip on most of the country.

But
after months in the deep freeze and with spring less than two weeks
away, many apparently have their sights set on a warmer weather.

“Companies
that are handling travel really are expecting that there is going to be
elevated demand this spring,” says CNBC.com's Kelli Grant. “That
people are trying to get away from this cold weather and go somewhere
because they are just sick of all the cold and the snow.”

In the
long run, forecasters predict Mother Nature could bring some relief that
could even last through next winter, thanks to the return of the El
Nino current.
