ATHENS, Ala. (AP) —
Authorities say a six-month investigation in Athens has culminated in 95
warrants for more than 40 drug suspects.

Athens Police Chief
Floyd Johnson says suspects were rounded up during an undercover drug
sting called “Operation Harvest Festival.”

Officials say warrants
were issued on charges of distribution of a controlled substance,
conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime, possession of a
controlled substance and several other non-drug charges.

Authorities have said 31 of the 43 suspects involved were arrested as of Saturday afternoon.

Police say they seized crack, cocaine, marijuana, guns, $8,000 in cash and a malnourished pit bull during the investigation.
