Pair of crashes stalls traffic on Ala. interstate

TANNER, Ala. (AP) —
Traffic was slowed to a crawl Monday afternoon along Interstate 65 after
a pair of fiery crashes that involved six vehicles.

The crashes happened early Monday afternoon near Tanner — which is about 25 miles west of Huntsville.

Fire departments from Athens and Tanner responded to the scene.

Alabama
Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Robyn Litchfield says three
people were injured. Information on the extent of their injuries and
what caused the crashes wasn't immediately available.
