Ga. based soldier dies of combat injuries

FORT STEWART, Ga. (AP) —
U.S. Department of Defense officials have identified a Georgia-based
soldier who was killed in Afghanistan.

Officials say 22-year-old
Spc. James T. Wickliffchacin, of Edmond, Okla., died Friday at the
Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

Officials say
Wickliffchacin was injured Aug. 12 when an improvised explosive device
detonated during combat operations south of Kabul.

The soldier was assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, and was based at Fort Stewart, Ga.
