Auburn’s 2014 slate includes visit to Kansas State

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Auburn will open the 2014 season against Arkansas and visit Kansas State.

The
Tigers face the Razorbacks on Aug. 30 in their first opening game
against a Southeastern Conference team since a 46-13 win over
Mississippi in 1995. Auburn released the schedule on Wednesday.

The season includes a Sept. 20 visit to Kansas State, the first since 1978.

Auburn's
rotating SEC East opponent is South Carolina on Oct. 25 at Jordan-Hare
Stadium. The Tigers swept the regular season and SEC championship game
meetings during the 2010 national title season.

The Tigers' other
nonconference opponents include San Jose State (Sept. 6), Louisiana Tech
(Sept. 27) and Samford (Nov. 22) before closing against Alabama.
