Former Braves Star arrested for Battery

(Gwinnett County)- Former Major League Baseball outfielder Andruw Jones landed himself behind bars Christmas Day.

He
was arrested and released on battery charges early Tuesday following a
domestic dispute between him and his wife in suburban Atlanta.

He's out on $2400 dollar bond.

Jones played for the Atlanta Braves from 1996 to 2007.
Since
leaving the Braves, he has bounced between teams and leagues, playing
the last two seasons as a reserve for the New York Yankees.

This month, the 35-year-old outfielder signed a one-year contract with the Rakuten Eagles of Japan's Pacific League.
