Police make arrest in crash that destroyed Columbus High wall

COLUMBUS, GA – Columbus Police make an arrest in connection to the car crash that destroyed part of the commemorative brick wall outside Columbus High School.
According the Muscogee County Jail, Kearia Turner was arrested Thursday and charged with violation probation in relation to another case and a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass.
Officials say the car had three passengers and was traveling on 17th street when it spun out of control and hit the wall Wednesday night.
They say one person was seriously injured in the accident.
One side of the wall is completely destroyed. The good news is, the side of the wall that holds the commemorative bricks was untouched.
